Audio transfer FAQ
How will I get my digitized audio files back?
Straight answer from RVA Rewind, a local media digitizing studio in Richmond, Virginia. We help with Compact cassettes, reel-to-reel, vinyl records, 8-tracks, and other common consumer audio formats we support.
At RVA Rewind, we understand how precious your audio memories are, and we’re committed to delivering them back to you with care and convenience. After digitizing your analog media, such as cassette tapes, vinyl records, or reel-to-reel tapes, we provide your digitized audio files in high-quality formats like .M4A, .MP3, .AIFF, or .WAV, based on your preference. You can choose to receive these files as digital downloads from our secure website or on a thumb drive for easy access. If you’d like both options, that’s available for an additional fee.
Your original analog media is always returned to you alongside the digitized files, ensuring you retain your cherished originals. We carefully record each tape in one take to preserve authenticity, and while track separation isn’t included in our standard service, it’s available as an add-on. If a tape is blank, we’ll promptly notify you to discuss next steps. Our process, which takes 2–6 weeks, ensures professional handling, and you can enhance your files with optional services like noise reduction or audio editing. Trust RVA Rewind to preserve your audio legacy with expertise and dedication.
How this works at RVA Rewind
Personal audio—family messages, homemade tapes, vinyl collections—often exists on media that is hard to play today. A clean digital transfer lets you listen on phones, computers, and smart speakers without risking the last good play of a fragile tape or record.
- Tell us the formats you have and any track-splitting or cleanup needs.
