Frequently Asked Questions

What if my audio tape or record is blank?

At RVA Rewind, we cherish the sentimental value of your audio tapes and records, handling each item with exceptional care and precision. If we find during the digitization process that your tape or record is blank—possibly due to recording issues or natural degradation over time—our dedicated team will promptly contact you. We’ll reach out via your preferred method, whether email or phone, to discuss the situation, ensuring clear communication and transparency throughout the process.

To account for the time and resources spent inspecting your media, we charge a $6 fee for checking tapes or records, even if no content is found. You won’t face additional digitization charges for blank media, as we only bill for successfully digitized files. Your original tape or record will be carefully returned, along with any other submitted materials, ensuring you retain your cherished possessions. If you believe content should exist, we can conduct a deeper analysis upon request, though further fees may apply for extended inspection. Our 2–6 week process reflects our commitment to professionalism and customer satisfaction. With RVA Rewind, your audio memories are treated with empathy and expertise, providing peace of mind even when unexpected challenges arise.
